Sexy Snippets is brought to you but an group of writers from The Nuthouse Scribblers. Each week we show seven sentences from either a current manuscript or a published book, for you to enjoy.
Today I have chosen my seven sentences from my current WIP, Behind The Make-up. This scene is about a singer, who has just lost her brother in a horrific accident. Gareth, her body guard, is by her side as always.
Her
head bent low as she rested her forehead against his chest. “I don’t want to be
alone,” she said, her voice only just audible to Gareth. He placed a hand on the
back of her neck and stroked her hair.
“You
won’t be,” he tried to assure her. “I’ll watch while you sleep.”
Beth looked up into
his eyes. His heart skipped a beat with pain the way her eyes glistened with
