Tantalizing Tuesday - Automn

Hello and welcome back. I know I missed last week again. It was a bit of an emotional time for me as it would have been my nieces second birthday last week. She was born with Pataue syndrome, which is terminal and tragically lost her fight earlier this year in April.

It is a new week, and I have now resolved the problem I was having with not being able to save pictures to my laptop, so I am back.

For my birthday on Sunday, my husband and I took the children (and our dog) for a walk in the woods. As you may know, this is one of my absolutely fav places to walk. Each season brings something new to look at. So while we were in the woods, I was lost in the colours of the leaves on the trees, especially when the sun’s ray shone down and touched the wood bed, almost setting the scene on fire. Stunning is just not close enough. Anyway, that is the inspiration for this weeks tease.

With each step Kate took, the leaves crunched beneath her boots. There would be no chance to see any deer today, they’d hear me coming a mile off.

The sun cast its rays between the now less dense forest roof, falling onto branches laden with burning leaves, as if setting them on fire. Their bright orange glow made more vivid by the sun’s touch. There was no sound, other than that made by her own footsteps.

She had been walking for a long time now and her legs began to ache. If she was any normal person, she would be worried now at not having found her way out, or at the very least, seen another life form. But Kate wasn’t any normal person, at least not that she ever felt.

Up ahead the path opened out and in the centre stood a tree stump. It was placed there purposely. Kate clambered on top and sat down, with her legs crossed. The damp felt cold on her bare legs. She crossed them, so that only her denim shorts and shin high boots made contact with the tree stump.

“Kate”

She turned her head to the sound of the male voice.

I hope you liked this. I have to say, it has sparked a bit of a story off and you can look forward to a continuation next week.

Sexy Snippets - Behind The Makeup

Happy Sunday.

I hope this Sunday finds you well.

Today, I have chosen my seven sentences from my current WIP Behind The Makeup. This scene was one of those unexpected writing moments. You know when you are writing and you think you know where you're going and then one of your characters looks at the other in a certain way... The before you know it, they have changed your plans and taken you down a whole unexpected road.

I actually really enjoyed writing this scene just because of the element of surprise for me.  I hope you enjoy it.  Remember, it is unedited.

Beth’s soft moan, as he cupped her fanny in the palm of his hand, went straight to his already growing erection. He teased her opening through her underwear with his fingers and applied more pressure to her pubic bone with his hand.
Gareth broke from the kiss and tried to catch his breath. He was trying to think clearly, but all he smelt was Beth, all he could feel was Beth. After their kiss, all he could taste was her, all he could hear were her moans of pleasure. He opened his eyes, and her beauty filled his vision. Everything for him, right at that moment, was Beth.

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think, I love hearing from you. Don't forget to pop over to all the other authors taking park in Sexy Snippets. Just follow the link below.

Tantalizing Tuesday - The Bath

Hello there. So sorry I didn't take part in the last two weeks. I had trouble finding a picture that inspired me. Think I was too wrapped up in my current WIP that I couldn't think past it.

Anyway I am here today and I have a little confession.  I have gone WAY over 200 words. In fact double.

I can make up for lost time right? I have to apologise but the picture really spoke and I had to go with it. I hope you don't mind?

The picture was taken from Pintrest.

This is the picture:

“Hey babe, how’s it going?”

Lottie looked up from the kitchen table and just stared at her husband. Could he not see the contents of their toddler’s dinner all over the floor, table and no doubt, her hair?

“Fine, just another day at the office,” She said in a flat tone. Not to be rude. It was her way of keeping a lid on her emotions otherwise she just might break down and cry from sheer exhaustion alone. She stood up a greeted him with a kiss. “You ok?”

“Yeah I’m ok. Hey little man,” he said as he bent down to place a kiss on their son’s forehead. “You look like you’re enjoying that dinner.”

“He might enjoy it more if he actually ate some.”

Matt placed a hand on her shoulder and rubbed it lightly. “I’m just going to get changed,” he said and kissed the top of her head.

Typical, she thought. Yeah you go get comfy, I’ll clean up and sort out our little man. She knew she was being irritable but couldn’t help the bitterness that clouded her better judgment.

With toddler on hip, she climbed the stairs to their bedroom and froze at the sound of the bath running. He’s taking the piss she said to herself. What she wouldn’t give for a bath right now.

She laid Jayden on the bed and began to remove his clothes.

“Lottie.”

She heard Matt call but chose to ignore him. She didn’t want to argue about him having a bath, but she feared she would explode if he spoke to her.

“Lottie.” His call was relentless

“What?” she snapped. “I’m trying to get J ready for bed.”

Matt entered the room and came over to her. “Come on,” he said pulling her with him as he scooped Jayden into his arms. He stood in front of the bathroom door with a grin on his face that Lottie couldn’t help but smile at.

“Ta da,” he said pulling open the door. Lottie gasped at the bath, rose petals, candles and wine.

“I thought you could do with one.”

Lottie’s eyes filled with tears. Tears of guilt for all the nasty things she thought about her husband. Tears of love for him for noticing she needed to re charge.

“You go get in, I’ll sort little man into bed and then, I’ll join you,” he said flashing her another mischievous grin.

I hope you enjoyed it. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Sext Snippets - Alana

Welcome back to sexy snippets. Sorry I didn't take part last week, it was one hell of a crazy time. Time just seemed to vanish and the days all blended into one mass blur. The joys of being a mother of a toddler who doesn't like to sleep. Anyhow, I'm back today and I have a sexy snippet from Alana to share with you.

As you may know, or even heard me screaming about it over Facebook, this is my first solo publication and has been in the top 6 Mainstream best sellers list on Bookstrand since is was released in August this year.  I know, I'm blowing my trumpet here a little, but hey, someone has to right? lol

So here are my seven sentences:

Alana lay on her side, hugging the white throw like a child would a cuddly Teddy. Her long, black wavy hair fanned across her pillow, eyes peacefully closed. At that moment, her lips parted and a muffled moan escaped as her forehead furrowed, drawing her perfectly shaped eyebrows together.

Within a flash, he was on the bed, his hand stroking her hair. “Shh,” he soothed in her ear, as she responded to his voice in her sleep. The furrow subsided and her lips closed. His face so close to hers, he could feel her breathing against him.

Well there you are, my seven sentences. If you would like to read more, Alana is available on Amazon for $2.99/£1.89
