Jorja Lovett Take over - The Department Store

Hello all, hope you are all in good heath.

Tis the season to be giving, and so today, I give you Jorja Lovett and her new book, The Department Store.

The Department Store – Four floors of steamy romance

Book One - Ground Floor: Toys & Games

Thanks for having me here today to share my new release. I've always found something romantic about those old department stores and I'm having so much fun writing this series. Each book will focus on one floor Kelsey's store and the hot encounters between staff and customer. As Toys & Games suggests, book one is the tale of one couple having a little fun outside working hours…

Jen is the new girl in the toy store but it's not long before the boss' son Jamie teaches her how to play.

Recently bereaved, Jen White hopes her new job in the toy shop at Kelsey's Department Store is a fresh start. One ripped pair of stockings later, she catches the eye of the boss' son, Jamie. She's not looking to replace her partner but he soon makes her realise she doesn't want to spend the rest of her life celibate. And die a virgin.

Jamie Kelsey's a screw up. Well his father still thinks so, even after he's tried to make amends for losing the family's fortune. The store's in trouble but with his father still stuck in the dark ages and refusing his help, he's worried it's too late. With a little help from their newest employee, he starts to make his mark on the store. He's sworn off women to concentrate on his career but when Jen comes to him looking to further her sexual education, it's an offer he can't refuse.

“I thought you might need these.” The deep voice over her shoulder almost sent her sprawling on the floor.

“Pardon?” She looked up into a pair of mischievous green eyes.

The handsome owner of the sparkly peepers extended a hand towards her, holding a small package.

“What’s this?” Jen wondered if he’d mistaken her for someone else, and took a cursory glance at what he was offering—a pair of nude silk stockings.

“I saw you had a mishap with yours this morning.” A smirk spread across his face.

“I did. How did you—?” As the implications of his words sank in, Jen’s cheeks burned. She had been certain no one had witnessed her moment of indiscretion.

“Take them.” He waved them under her nose again. She would’ve refused except her legs were so pale they were almost transparent and she needed something to cover them up.

“Thanks.” She accepted the stockings but it didn’t make up for the free peep show she’d inadvertently invited him to. “But you really shouldn’t be hanging around corners spying on women. You could get arrested for that you know.”

The smirk stretched to a gorgeous beaming smile. “And maybe you shouldn’t be flashing everything you’ve got in front of a window if you don’t want people to look. Glass is see through you know.”

Jen groaned at her own foolishness, wishing this day from hell would end already. “Well, you’ve had your laugh at my expense. Thank you for the stockings, but I have work to do.”

He held his hands out wide in a gesture of surrender. “Hey, I can promise you I wasn’t laughing. And I certainly didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable. The opposite actually, I was trying to save your blushes, but I see that’s backfired.”

She got to her feet but it didn’t put her at any more of an advantage as he still towered over her, dressed impeccably to boot. The expensive charcoal grey suit said ‘management’ which could only heap more embarrassment on her if he was more than a well-to-do customer. “I apologise if I sound rude but it’s my first day. And so far, it’s not going well.”

“I’m sorry to hear that. I’ll leave you to get dressed in private this time, and good luck with the job.” Mr Suave swept away, leaving her gift and the smell of his spicy cologne behind.

It took a moment for Jen to come back down to earth, with a little help from her big sis.

“What did he say to you?” Kelly bustled over eager for gossip.

“He gave me these.” Jen held out the stockings reverently like someone had left her in charge of the Crown Jewels.

“Oh my goodness! That could be a strike against you for not wearing the appropriate uniform.” Kelly held her hand to her mouth in horror.

“What business is it of his anyway?” It might be a while since she last interacted with the general public, but Jen didn’t think her bare legs warranted anyone taking that level of offence to report her.

The look of derision from her sibling told her she’d made yet another monumental cock-up. “That’s Jamie Kelsey, the boss’ son, you’re rubbing up the wrong way. Let me tell you girl, if you’ve caught his eye then you’re in serious trouble. That man treats the female staff like his own personal pick ’n mix.”

A tremble rippled through Jen’s limbs. If that was the case, she hoped she was the sour cherry that wasn’t quite to his taste.

Sexy Snippets - Borrowed Times Part Two

Hello, and welcome back to this weeks sexy snippet.  I thought I would pick up from where we left off last week.  So here are my seven sentences.

He was slow, teasing as he kissed her as softly as the water fell. It was like magic, caught somewhere between sense and sensibility, where nothing else mattered he felt her let herself go.

Her heart beating faster she pulled him closer and kissed him deeper. So in tune with what she wanted he gave everything he had, and she took it all.  The more she took the more she gave him in return, which made him give again.  Soon they were both lost in desperation, neither one in control of their body or mind.

Deep and fast and still they craved more until the heat flashed through them, throbbing through every ounce of their blood as their climax took hold.  There were words spoken in lovers muffles and a cry for God somewhere in the room as Charlotte leaned back against the shower wall for support and he rested his head on her shoulder.
Hope you enjoyed this weeks snippet, please leave a comment, I love reading them.

Sexy Snippets - Borrowed Times

Hello all. So sorry it has been a while since my last blog. I wont bore you with the details on how my tablet wouldn't cut from one app and paste into another, or how just being a mother took priority. Not even how my lack of inspiration for NaNo has left me feeling glum and uninspired to write anything.
So today I am going right back to the very beginning of my writing and bringing you seven sentences from my first ever manuscript, Borrowed Times.
She couldn’t help but laugh at his boyish charm, that being one of the many things that had attracted her to him in the first place. He kissed her softly, teasing, as the warm water spray ran down her back adding to her arousal.
His hands moving hungrily to her breast where her now wet camisole clung to her body like a second layer of skin, highlighting exactly where her nipples begged to be touched. Aidan deepened the kiss as he pushed her back against the shower wall.
She felt him hard against her groin sending more heat waving through her. Her vision completely hazed, so much so she could hardly tell if her eyes were open or closed.
Charlotte scraped her nails down his back making him arch into her so she could feel more of his hardness press against her crutch. She gripped his arse to hold him as she started to grind her hips into his.
I hope you like this snippet, please leave a comment as I love hearing your feedback. Also don't forget to pop over to all the other Authors taking part. Just follow this link:
Well that's all for this week, and now that my laptop is back in full working order, I will be back next week with another snippet. Until then, take care.

Jorja Lovett - Take over

Hello folks, so glad you could join me today. I have a special guest, Jorja Lovett here today, talking about the fantastic book two of The Wild Irish Wolves - Wolf on the Run. If you have read the first one, then I know that you are just as keen on hearing about the second. If you haven't read the first one - Wolf on the Hill, I highly recommend you do.

Just look at this cover:

Stunning hey? Well, without further ado, I'll hand over to Jorja:

Thanks for having me today to share my new release, The Wolf on the Run, book two in my series, The Wild Irish Wolves. I love my Olcan Hills pack and hopefully my readers will have the same passion for Rory and co too.

The Wolf on the Run – Jorja Lovett

Short Blurb:

Alpha Rory is determined to protect his pack, including feisty Naomi. How can he get close when she's intent on facing her demons alone?
Long Blurb:

As a police officer and Alpha of the Olcan Hills' pack, being a protector is in Rory Blake's DNA.

When Naomi Duffy turned up heavily pregnant and alone, Rory's natural instinct was to look after her. However, her fierce need for independence over the years has ensured they've never been anything more than friends.

Naomi has spent too long trying to keep her daughter safe to jeopardise everything for a fling. But, when her past threatens to catch up with her, Rory is the only person she trusts with her life.

Thrown together, the couple finally succumb to their passion and it's all too easy to forget the danger lurking in the hills.

Do Rory and Naomi have a future together, or will secrets from the past tear them apart?

Naomi came after Rory, pitting her stealthy grace against his sheer power. In his peripheral vision, he could see the wisps of her breath spiralling into the cold air as she forged ahead, determined to catch him. Rory snorted, sending his own white breath curling up into the atmosphere.

He led her over the hills, their claws making short work of carving up the cold, hard terrain. Naomi never lost ground. Even when he made a turn towards the woods on the boundary, she kept pace.

The chase awakened something deep inside him—that animal freedom with no responsibilities except the survival of himself and his pack. The spiky silhouettes of barren trees lined his path, like broad strokes of a black marker pen scratched against the silver sky.

He dodged in and out, never slowing, with Naomi always in pursuit. Occasionally, a pair of woodland eyes blinked at him from the darkness—a rabbit, a fox, observing their bizarre courtship.

Rory had no doubt the exhilaration of their illicit run would end in wild sex between him and Naomi. It was like a very enthusiastic bout of foreplay without actual touching.

They crunched through the leaf-littered forest floor until he tired of being the hunted. He looped back the way they came and stopped in a clearing. In all aspects of life he preferred to be the one doing the chasing, but at this moment in time he wanted nothing more than to be caught.

He shifted back into his naked, horny self. Naomi came to a skidding halt seconds later, scooting a bundle of leaves over his bare feet. "You can run, wolf lady, I'll give you that. Now can we go back to bed?"

She shifted back to stand beautifully naked before him. "Not until you say it."

"Say what?" He was hard as hell and ready for round two.

"That I’m as good as you." She gave him a flirty smile. One which said she was looking forward to the future rather than staring back at the past. The run had obviously done wonders for her too.

"That was probably a fluke. I don’t think you could keep up with me on a normal day. You know, one where you haven’t seduced me on top of a car boot and made me carry you home first." The play fighting wasn’t limited to their animal personas. Not when it proved such a turn on. Human or wolf, the scent of Naomi’s arousal would always draw him to her.

"I didn’t hear you complaining at the time. But, if you’re tired, just say and we’ll call it a night." She shrugged her shoulders, making her boobs jiggle enough to bring his erection to full strength once more.

He stepped forward and brushed her wild hair from her face. "I’ll never be too tired for you, Naomi. I’ll race you back. This time the winner stays on top."

She grinned, eyes twinkling as bright as the stars. "You’re on."

This was one race he intended to lose.

Sexy Snippets - More Alana

Hello again. Sorry it's been a while, but I have finally managed to sort out my laptop. *does the happy dance*

Since the last time I was on here, I have now finished Alana. *another happy dance* This is such a big moment for me because this is my first manuscript that has slowly been written over a period of two years. Not a constant write for two years, as I have written other stuff in between, but two years, almost to the day.

So I feel it only fair that this weeks snippets is taken from Alana.

With a small shuffle forward, and a push with his feet, Nick was traveling forward through the air, with Alana held tightly in his arms. As gravity started to take hold and pull them down, Nick tried to shift his body underneath Alana. With the added weight of Alana, they fell faster than he anticipated. He pulled his elbow, which cradled Alana’s head, in towards his chest, then used his shoulder to break the fall. A sharp shooting pain went up to his neck as his shoulder made contact with the mattress and he rolled onto his back to help take the rest of the impact. He knew he had landed awkward and damaged his shoulder, but that didn’t matter right now.

Nick pulled the sheet from Alana’s face. She wasn’t breathing.

Well I hope you liked the snippet, please leave a comment and don't forget to pop by all the other authors taking part in this weeks sexy snippets.

Flash Fiction Friday - Moonlight

Yay, it's finaly Friday! Is it me or has this week taken soooo long to end? Anyway I am back with another Flash Fiction Friday, and as always, I am supposed to stick to 100 words.
This is the picture we are all working on:

That's a pretty hot picture right? So you know what is going to follow right? You have been warned!

The fine mist spray droplets were illuminated by the moons rays, as it covered our bodies with a welcoming coolness. Our breath was short, shallow and desperate as we began our climaxed. “Oh god, yes, that’s it,” I cried as hot blood pumped right to my core. I tightened around his length and he pushed hard and fast sending me right over the edge. I milked him for every drop he offered and then slowly leaned up and back against his chest. Cheek to cheek, he massaged my breasts and I closed my eyes as he feather kissed my lips.

I would also like to add that I have managed to hit the 100 word mark exactly. * feeling chuffed*
If you like what you have read, hop on over to all the other blogs and Authors taking part.
I'll be back on Sunday for my Sexy Snippets, but until then, take care.

Raven McAllan Take Over

Hello, hope you are well.

Today I have a very special guest, Raven McAllan and she is here to celebrate her 2nd Birthday as an Author.

So to get this party started, I thought I'd bring a little cake, but you can't have a piece until you sing:

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to Raven,
Happy birthday to you.

So if you're all comfy, and ready, I'll hand you all over to the lovely Raven.

This time two years ago I was a nervous shivering excited wreck. I was almost a published author.

Here I am two years on and in the same state—or very nearly.

If you'd've told me then, that now I’d still be writing, still being published and have over fifty stories out there with my name on them, I'd probably asked you where you got the magic mushrooms from.

However here I am, and yes I have and oh how fabulous it is.

Around three years ago, I was away from work, bored, sore and wondering what on earth I could do other than read. Don't get me wrong, I love reading, but I was rapidly running out of books.

Then someone suggested I went onto Facebook, and lo and behold (sorry dramatic or what?)I discovered a writing competition, at which I hasten to add I was rubbish. But through it I met a lot of other wannabe authors and then, became part of my critique group UCW.

The rest as they say, is history.

When I started I had no idea how I wrote, or even if I could. Let alone what. I've been oh so fortunate that my publisher have let me try my voice out in more than one way.

Even though I started off writing Regency, which I love, I had to try writing contemporary romance as well. And paranormal, m/m, menage, YA—well you get the idea? I needed to know what I'm capable off. I still do for that fact.

There's nothing like the thrill of having a character shout in my ear and say write me, get on with it. So I do.

I've learned the hard way (I'm a member of the lone star club) that not everyone will like what I write or the way I do it. But thankfully that others will and do. Whichever, any comment means someone has read one of my books. The one I cherish most, is a third hand heard (but confirmed by the speaker only last week almost eighteen months on) that, "have you heard? Raven writes, and her books are disgusting." To which my answer was "Books plural? Then she's read them all?"

To celebrate my birthday, I'm dotting all over the place for a couple of weeks. For each blog I'm on (and sorry no list you'll just have to keep your eyes open) I'm offering a mini swag bag plus an Ebook, for one person who answers my question. As well I'll pick one commenter at random form all the comments overall and send one of my print books (winners choice)

So what shall I ask? I'm going to be cruel and ask two questions. How did I get my pen name? Where is your favourite place to read?

Now the lovely JP was kind enough to let me hijack her blog. I've given her cake and candies while we chat. That's the joy of knowing such awesome people. We chat and she, well I was going to day just lets us, but hey, she's made the coffee, and got me gluten free muffins. Isn't it good to be able to make so many friends and know whatever time of the day or night, you can pop onto someone's blog or onto Facebook and find someone to talk to.  The only down side is when I should be writing. See JP is grinning at me now. But well sometimes coffee and chat and birthday parties are just needed aren't they?

However on that note, Maybe I'd best get back to my sexy Regency Dom, before he throws a Dom-disciplinary at me. (And in Regency times they were somewhat creative)

Oh and The Girl on the Bus is out from www.evernightpublishing.com on Friday 11th

Stalking links can be found here…

Happy Reading, Love R xx
Thank you so much for stopping by Raven, and I hope you guys enjoyed  your cake.
That's all for today, but Join me again on Friday for our Flash Fiction Friday. Until then, take care.

Tantalising Tuesday - Kissing in the Rain

Hello and welcome back to Tantalising Tuesday.

As you know I am supposed to pick a picture and write 200 words relating to it. Well I seriously failed this week. Not only did I have to rely on a good friend Doris to provide yet another picture, I ended up getting so lost in the picture, and what they two characters were telling me, that my word count is over 500. Now this completely goes against the whole exercise, but I just couldn't help it.  Here is the picture:

The picture itself was taken from Pinterest. How romantic is that! Now you understand why I had sooooooo much trouble keeping it short. The picture itself is amazing, it speaks so many words. Any way, here is my tease for today. I hope you like it.

His heart pounded in his chest as he ran after her. The heavy rain obscured his vision, but he ran through it anyway. He could just see the back of her black dress through the haze. Their bare feet slapped on the floor as they splashed through the puddles. John knew he had been way out of line the other day. Only today, when he came to apologise, did he see just how deep his words had cut. By God he was sorry. But Marie bolted. She shouted that she didn’t want to see him and then she ran.

Here is was, chasing her on the roof top of the apartment building. She reached the wall and put both hands down on it, her torso bent over and her shoulders shaking violently. He could tell she was still crying. He slowed his pace.

“Look at me Marie,” he shouted, but she didn’t turn. “For God sake Marie look at me, I’m trying to tell you that I love you.”

She straightened at his words and slowly began to turn. He knew she was the one for him, now at the fear of losing her, he was ready to admit it. He kept taking slow steps towards her until he was about a foot away.

“I love you, I fucked up and I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.”

“I forgive you John, I said it doesn’t matter, just go, leave me alone.”

He nearly gave in and did as she asked, but something in his gut told him to stand fast and try harder. She was worth it.

“I can’t, Marie. Somewhere in the middle of all of this I fell in love with you. I tried to deny it and look where it’s got me.”

She looked at him with her forehead furrowed. John knew she didn’t follow what he meant, so he elaborated.

“Here, Marie, running in the rain, right back to you. I don’t want to run any more, Marie. Not from you. Not from us.”

“There is no us John, you made that perfectly clear,” she snapped back, and John saw it wasn’t just the rain running down her face. He had caused her so much pain and he had to fix it. John stepped closer and tucked her soaked hair behind her ear.

“See that’s where you are wrong Marie,” he lowered his voice as he spoke to the window of her soul. Then he smiled with one side of his face as he scooped her up into his arms. Her shocked gasped as he did made him smile even more.

“You and me, will always be,” He said before his mouth descended on hers. As their lips met, her body tensed momentarily before she relaxed and kissed him back. Her arms went round his neck and one hand tangled itself in his hair, as she pulled him closer for a deeper, fuller kiss.

Marie pulled away from him and for a moment he was worried she would still turn him down.

“Take me home and get me out of these wet clothes,” she said as the fire in her eyes ignited something deep within him.

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think, I love reading them. Also don't forget to stop by all the other Authors taking part this week at:

Sexy Snippets - Nick

Hello, so nice of you to drop by for my Sexy Snippets. This weeks seven sentences are taken from my current WIP Alana.

Alana lay on her side with her naked back exposed from the covers.  His eyes followed the curves of her body from her shoulder slowly down to her side, where the contours dipped and then rose to outline her hip.  Unconsciously he opened the door enough to walk through and stand at her bedside. His eyes deviated to her lower back where two dimples sat, one either side of her spine.  He had to stop himself from reaching out and touching her.
Instead his eyes went back to her hips as he followed her body down her leg and to her toes.  Her skin looked like silk and he fought very hard to control the urge in his trousers.

I hope you enjoyed my snippet. Please leave a comment, I would love to hear what you think. Also don't forget to stop by all the other Authors taking part:

Until next week, take care.

Flash Fiction Frida - A kiss

Welcome back to Flash Fiction Friday.

Like before I am given a picture and I have to write a little something in just 100 words. I have hit the word count right on the mark (second time this week), so I am over the moon. It is a bit harder than it looks. Anyway, this is the picture:

Yeah I was a bit lot for inspiration on this one too, but this is what I came up with. I hope you like it.

I love people watching and the park is one of the best places to go for this. Parents playing with their children, old couples holding hands, lovers steeling a moment. That’s when I spotted this odd couple. A well dressed woman in a white mini dress. Her hair was dark and short and she looked like money. The guy next to her was much rougher looking. Worn jeans and a tank top. His hair dark with grease and slicked back behind his ears. He said something and then they kissed. Her tongue on show as she offered it to him.
Please leave a comment, I love hearing your views.  Don't forget to stop by all the other authors participating this week, just follow the link:

Tantalising Tuesday - Feet

Hello and welcome back to Tantalising Tuesday.

I have another picture, this time it was selected by my dear friend Doris O'Connor.  The picture was on Facebook and the original source is unknown. This is the picture she chose for me:

The water sloshed against the side of the bath with each thrust he made, pushing deeper inside her. Each movement was slow and deep as their bodies entwined in the tub. Pressure built up fast and she arched backwards, her hair dipped into the water as a groan escaped her mouth. He knew her signs well and began to speed up, rocking onto her between each thrust.
“Oh lord Jesus,” she cried as she opened her legs as wide as the restricting bath would enable her to. Her hands gripped his arse pulling him into her faster. She knew she was so close. The heat running through her veins warmed her from the inside and travelled right down to her clit. Her breath became short and desperate.
“Faster,” she gasped and he met her need. He nipped at her neck and sent her straight over the edge. She came hard and he followed until they were both left breathless and tingling with the strength of their orgasm. They kissed slowly as they tried to catch their breath.
After a few moments they shifted their bodies to face each other, with their feet rested on the edge by the taps.
“Happy Anniversary.”
I am also proud to say that I actually stuck to the 200 words this time :-)

Sexy Snippets - Behind The Make-up

Can you believe it's that time again? Of course you can, that's why you came back right :-)

This week I am taking my seven sentences from another WIP called behind the Make-up.  I hope you like it:

“You wear nothing under dresses to perform in?”

Elizabeth gave him her best innocent girl look before she pulled the pins out of her hair, allowing her chocolate locks to cascade down her back.

“Oh my god, you’re a little minx,” He replied before pulling himself forward on the edge of the couch, took hold her of hips and sucked her nub into his mouth. The shock and pleasure of his actions made her cry out. She tangled her finger into his hair, gripping harder as he delved deeper into her. Her enjoyment filled his mouth.

“I want you,” she whispered.

Guff’s muffled chuckle into her wetness heightened her arousal.

Flash Fiction Friday - No Artist

Hello again. Gosh these weeks are flying by.  Can you believe it is Friday already?  I have another little treat for you this week. As always 100 words to the picture. However, I catastrophically failed this week coming in at 121.  I hope you like it.

This is the picture we were all given and it was taken from Stockvault:

So here is my little bit:

Kat couldn’t draw, but that wasn’t going to stop her. She sat on the floor in her see-through nightgown pretending to look artistic.  She scribbled something over his canvas and then placed it to the side as she seductively bent her leg up and pretended she was trying to get a better perspective on his naked body.

He saw the picture and burst out laughing.

“Oh god you really are shit,” he said between chuckles.

She threw the pencil at him.

“You could at least try to help me.”

He moved over to her and kissed his way up her leg.

“You need to feel the person you’re drawing,” he added for effect, with clear intentions written all over his face.

I hope you like my flash today. Don't forget there are many other authors taking part, so why not stop by their blogs. Trust me it might be the same picture, but the outtake is always diverse.

That's all I have for today, so until next week, take care.

Tantalizing Tuesday - Sun Set

Hello, how are you? Thanks for stopping by again.

It is Tantalizing Tuesday, and as always I have a new pic and 200 words.  This is the pic I have chosen for you this week:

This picture was taken from the following website:

So here is my 202 words:

The sea was calm and the air tranquil as the setting sun burnt its last rays onto the side of my body. We sat on top of the water edge with the gentile lul of the sea lapping seductively against the side of the rocks. We talked about everything. The weather, his work, my work and he listened to every word I said, taking it all in as if I was the most important person in the world. He made me laugh so much my sides hurt. When he talked I found myself being pulled in and hanging off every word he said.

‘Is this what a true connection felt like?’

A Seagull few into the sun’s light as we were momentarily plunged into darkness. ‘Was it that late already?’

“I know, we’ve only just met, but I’ve had the best night tonight.”

His honest words cut deep, mirrored by my own feelings. I didn’t want to say good bye.

“Can I see you again?”

Why I felt like a school girl is beyond me, but his simple request made me smile so much my cheeks felt the strain.  I sat up and moved closer to him.

“I’d like that a lot”
Hope you liked this weeks tantaliser.  I'll be back next week with another, but in the mean time, why don't you check out all the other authors participating.

Until next week, take care.

Hello, thanks so much for stopping by. It is Sexy Snippets time again :-)

Last week I promised you a snippet from a publish piece I did.  The book itself is called With Love from Val and Tyne and was an anthology written by a group of fantastic Authors from a critique group, I am lucky enough to belong to. This is the cover.

So without further ado, here are my seven sentences taken from my short story, Magic on Valentines:

“I went to a dress shop to buy this dress for tonight.  The men that served me said their names were Val and Tyne.  I hadn’t actually made the connection until now. Anyway, they said this dress would make my dreams come true, all I had to do was make a wish and…”

She stopped and looked him directly in his eyes.  She needed to see his reaction as she spoke.  He raised his eyebrows in question, waiting for her to continue.  “…And I wished for you.”
If I have tempted you enough to want to read more, you can still download the book for FREE at the following site:
Sadly that is all for my snippets today, but you can read more from all the other authors participating at:
 Until next week, take care.
